This week I was going to go for something colourful and uplifting, to contrast with the dull weather outside. But after flicking through this book this morning, I stumbled up on Sharon Stone. And I couldn't not choose this outfit today because I just so happened to watch Basic Instinct for the first time last night. It's been on my "to watch" list for years and last night was finally the night!
For those of you that have seen this film, you couldn't forget this scene where Sharon Stone's character is taken in by the police for questioning and she goes to change into "something more appropriate" before coming out wearing this elegant number.
It is a simple wool crepe dress with a polo neck and skin tight fit with a slouchy jacket thrown on over the top.
1990's Chic and Effortless Elegance all rolled into one. Teamed with her icy blonde hair and tan heels. And this is also the scene where she uncrosses her legs after she "for" to wear underwear.
This outfit isn't my usual style. Minimalist is not usually in my vocabulary and white is the colour something starts off before I chuck my Pom Poms and Tassels at it. But sometimes it's nice to view something differently. I absolutely love the effortless style and the way she just "threw it on". She looks fab!
