Outfit of the week!
Last Christmas my bestie got me a book full of fashion drawings of “100 iconic moments in fashion!”
Anyone who knows me knows that aside from Fashion and Sewing, my next great loves are drawing, history and reading!
Fashion history being one of my favourite things!! I am so passionate about it! I love a good period drama or black and white film, mainly because I’m fascinated by the outfits from the different time periods.
So I thought I would introduce a new idea for a post each Friday.
Outfit of the Week!
This might be an illustration from the book, a catwalk collection I’ve seen or an interesting outfit that I’ve seen on my travels.
Starting off this week with my absolute Idol! There isn’t anything I don’t love about her. She is so elegant!
This ivory lace dress was designed by her best friend, Hubert de Givenchy and worn when she collected her Oscar for Roman Holiday in 1954 (one of my favourite films if you haven’t seen it!) This Dress was named the “Beat Oscar dress of all time” by Time Magazine.
