Day 30 : #WorkLifeBalance
(2nd to last post!)
This is something that I think everyone battles with getting right. You feel guilty because you're at work or you feel guilty because you're not working!🤷🏼♀️
Up until recently I didn't really have much of a work life balance, but this is something I am working on and trying to get right. Life's too short to be working all the time!
I am lucky (and it's such a cliche!) that my Sewing doesn't feel like work. I know there's pros and cons of turning your hobby into a Day Job (just say one day I decide hate it and never want to Sew again!!?) 😳😟 but because I love it so much, it doesn't feel like work... (most of the time...it does have its stressful moments too!) 🤣🧵 👗
I'm going to have to give a Spar shout out too (the Day Job) because as stressful as that is at times, I am lucky that I work with my friends, not just "colleagues".
So sometimes the boundaries between my Work / Life balance get blurred because I socialise with my work friends and I also Sew as a hobby. And I am lucky enough to be able to "work" from home too. So I definitely "bring my work home with me". 🦩❤️
But it's important to keep a clear head and take time out just for you. We weren't put on this planet just to work.
I am feeling it a bit today. As you know, I'm not isolated because I'm still working, but I'm waiting for the day we can all go out and socialise!! I can go for a run, go to pub quiz, go for a meal out, go to house parties, see my friends, see my family, have a hug off George, though he won't want to hug me! Until then we just have to keep plugging away. 👏🏻☀️🥳🌸🏃♀️🏝🛍🎉⛺️✈️
So for all those people Working from Home, keep going! We'll get our Work / Life balance back soon!
